Laparoscopic surgery, also called minimally invasive surgery (MIS), is a procedure that allows surgeries to be performed on intra-abdominal organs and the abdominal wall, using a camera which sends a signal to TV monitors within the same operating room and the introduction of instruments through very small incisions that vary between 3mm to 12mm depending the type on surgery.
