What is the gastric sleeve?
The gastric sleeve (also called sleeve gastrectomy or vertical gastrectomy) is a restrictive bariatric procedure in which approximately 80% of the stomach is removed, leaving a banana-shaped “sleeve” about the size of a small banana.
