What is post-bariatric body contouring?

Abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) removes excess abdominal skin and fat, repairs the diastasis recti muscle separation, and reshapes the waist. Often combined with liposuction to contour adjacent areas.
It is reconstructive surgery, not just cosmetic. Loose skin causes physical problems: skin rashes, friction infections, back pain, difficulty dressing.
Ideal timing: 12-18 months after bariatric surgery, when your weight is stable.

Am I a candidate?
You are a good candidate if:
- ✓ Weight stable for at least 6-12 months
- ✓ 12-18 months since bariatric surgery
- ✓ Significant excess skin that won’t retract
- ✓ Nutritional status corrected (proteins, iron, vitamins)
- ✓ No uncontrolled medical conditions (diabetes, hypertension)
- ✓ Non-smoker or willing to quit 1 month before and after
